Empowering Educators for Anti-Racist Schools
Session description: Racism continues to deepen the chasm of inequities that are present in our k-12 schools. We must support our educators in becoming anti-racist practitioners, even in the face of policies and targeted attempts seeking to dismantle efforts to make our schools inclusive. Using suggestions from โAnti-Racist Teaching: 8 Steps to Build a Framework for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Your School,โ which will be released in 2024, participants will walk away with practical strategies they can implement in their own schools to create environments where all students can shine as their best selves and be prepared for the diverse world around them.
